How You Memorize and Store Information in Your Mind

There are energy compartments or memory banks in your concrete mind that serve as repositories of information or data. The grosser the thought, the lower the frequency at which it is stored. The more refined the idea, the higher the frequency at which it will be assimilated. I call these ‘mental diskettes’ or energy compartments.

Your mental aura and its energy substance need purifying and decongesting. This mental system is like the data storage unit in our computers. We need to purge unnecessary or obsolete data or documents to the recycling bin or trash regularly. There are also obsolete data from our younger years and previous training that have to be erased or purged when they have become irrelevant or obsolete. Then the new data and updated valid information should replace or supersede the old obsolete information.

People become so confused with conflicting information in their decision-making because early exposure to fairy tales, fables, parables and early limiting conclusions about life are still intact and competing with the more realistic adult interpretation of life. This is the internal tension in people who grapple with conflicting ideas of archetypal models of truth and their own repeated valid experience. They don’t know how to behave in expressing the higher truth currently perceived because of their great guilt and fear from religious beliefs or the influence of old learning patterns. This is true with sexuality, religion, parent-child relationships and husband-wife psychology. Many of my female clients experience their predicament – conflict among religious, cultural and parental upbringing, which are totally opposite of their current priorities and preferences. Mental programs and their memories should be upgraded and updated in order to solve these conflicts.

Memorized information is powerful data for the concrete mind and common sense. The faster and better you can memorize, the more data upon which to base decisions and deductions. The only problem is : what kind of data are you using? There is a saying, “Garbage in, garbage out.”That’s the danger, so we should be selective in what we read, learn and put into our memory. This includes visuals and inputs from TV, news, books, audio and video references.

Go Extra Mile in Effort and Time

Mastery of any work or endeavor needs more time than normal and the force of disciplined will. In general, the thing you have done the best is what put more time, energy, resources and effort into with constancy and unwavering focus.

The most successful people are those who able to go the extra mile in effort and spend more time doing the most important things that bring the greater value to life.
 (P. 184)

Goals:

Your goals are just steps to long-term plans and it is not the end of the world for you if you do not achieve them. After you do your best, be detached to whatever results follow and accept them. It is your attitude, after all, that matters.
(P. 185)

Will Power & Vitality:

Will-power pulls people out of the past and pushes them to the future.

When people are low on vitality and will-power, it is difficult to be effective in life. It is also not easy to be pleasant when you have a low battery.
(Pg. 188)

Big sacrifices lie behind every great success; sacrifices of time, energy, effort, hard work, health and sometimes one’s personal preferences.
(Pg. 226)

The team that has a better chance of winning exerts extra miles of effort, energy and time in preparation compared to other teams.
(Pg. 227)

Sacrifice is not martyrdom. It is selflessness and service-orientedness, but intelligently applied.
(Pg. 227)

Identify your personal desires and preferences that need to be relinquished or changed because they are not supportive of your new priorities. These may include relationships or passion for a thing in the past that has sentimental value. Great personal sacrifices require courage, determination and commitment. This is where many people fail. They are very attached to the past, temporary possessions or relationships.
(Pg. 227-8)

Knowledge through the mind brings success. Wisdom through virtues brings fulfillment.
(Pg. 239)

  2. Thanks Rahul for the kind words. I realize that deep in my heart I am still a school teacher, making notes from the readings and sharing it with others with some thoughts of mine here and there. Although not original (I am merely sharing insights and thoughts of others)it seems to be a worthwhile process, if at least some people like you benefit from it. Thank you very much once again.
